Your career is a constantly changing thing. You are growing; you are learning; and new opportunities will naturally present themselves. But before you can effectively set your sights on getting ahead, you have to know where you are right now.
Maybe you aren't in Kansas literally or figuratively, but being able to put the pin in the map of your career is important!
Tip 2 - know where you are
This may sound stupid but in reality you must ALWAYS know where you are at in your business. You have to be able to identify your strengths and areas of challenge. You have to know when you require assistance (and have the courage to seek it). You have to know how much money you have and how long it will last. In other words you have to be constantly aware of your current reality rather than getting lost in the rose-colored glasses view of how you believe your world should be.
There are lots of places you could put your pin in to identify your location. Starting with your marketing, where are you? In your relationships, where are you? Financially, where are you?
